Tabaré Páez is one special partner of SANLAGE Consulting, adding international experience to our team. From 2014 to 2017 he was a member of the Forensic and Litigation Consulting segment in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for FTI Consulting. He was also a member of the Construction Solutions group with solid experience in project controls analysis, subcontracts administration and proactive claims mitigation. He started working for SANLAGE consulting at 2011, in contracts of FTI Consulting with Anglo American, dealing with local and also international claims, contracts audit, and risk management.

Prior to join FTI Consulting and SANLAGE consulting, Mr. Páez worked for Halliburton/Kellogg Brown & Root, company responsible for Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning of two Floating Production Storage & Offloading (FPSO) Vessels, associated Subsea and Drilling Work Scopes, for Petrobras, in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. His versatility made him to be part of different teams in the 5 years- life of the project. Once the works at the shipyard were finished, the company transferred him to the headquarters in Rio de Janeiro where he stayed until the close out period of the project.

His professional background of more than 15 years brings experience in planning, project progress measurement, main contract and project risk analysis, formal documentation and necessary records, legal interpretation of disputes, cost reconciliation and estimation to complete (time and money) exercises.

Mr. Páez attended to several advanced courses towards a degree in Engineering, in the University of Montevideo. Has also studied in the Mathematics Teaching Institute, and had TOEFL Exam approved, in Montevideo, his native city. He is also certified as a Project Management Professional for the Project Management Institute. As Uruguayan, he is a native speaker in Spanish and is fluent in English and Portuguese, as well.

Among their past assignments, Tabaré was part of the team in charge of the pro-active risk mitigation and claims management of a Greenfield Port for the Minas-Rio Project (AngloAmerican), with a successfully FOOS in the last quarter of 2014. He continued working in contracts for same company performing claims management for more two years. He also participated in Claims Management contracts with Oil and Gas Company, Metropolitan railway, Piling Works for Port Construction and, Metro Lima from Perú.
